GELCO is a company which specialises in building patented construction machinery.
GELCO was formed in 1980 to build off-road fork lift trucks, although the company focus has since changed as follows:

CLEVER CRANES - the self - erecting crane revolution
The CLEVER CRANE self-erecting crane, covered by various international patents, was developed from the experience of earth-moving machinery to make construction site cranes self-propelled.
This was made possible by equipping it with a motorized undercarriage with four steerable wheels, powered by an internal combustion engine, and a telescopic tower, which allows for a 45% reduction in length during transport.
The range of CLEVER CRANE self-erecting, self-propelled cranes with a telescopic tower provides the same operational capabilities as standard tower cranes used in construction, with the added advantage of mobility autonomy. This is achieved through combustion engine-powered rubberized axles and hydraulic triple steering on all four wheels, ensuring exceptional maneuverability. Combined with the telescopic tower and telescopic base, this makes the crane highly innovative and revolutionary for construction sites in general and ideal for renovation projects.

SIX GOOD REASONS TO CHOOSE GELCO CLEVER CRANE
Self-erecting cranes limitations:
-
Operating height too low
-
Too long at transport
-
Too wide at transport
-
Only two steering wheels
-
Needs a transport facility to move around
-
Takes space away from pedestrian passage
Clever Crane's advantages:
-
45% higher operation height (26.7 m under hook with horizontal jib)
-
45% shorter at transport (minimum length 6.5 m)
-
20% more tight at transport (minimum length 1.80m)
-
Four hydraulic steering-wheels
-
Self-propelled motorized chassis
-
Telescopic chassis allows pedestrian passage and increases operating height by 2.75/3.75 m

GELCO introduces their latest machine, which due to its extraordinary dimensions represents the TOP model of the range.
The transport and erection costs for the G 2626 TT BE are only a fifth of that of a normal tower crane (City Crane). The total hiring costs plus services for a medium time period of 7 to 8 months allow cost saving of about 30%. Furthermore, there is a considerable reduction of taxes for the occupation of public sites as the extension of the crane base is only in height.
