ABOUT US

GELCO is a company which specialises in building patented construction machinery.

GELCO was formed in 1980 to build off-road fork lift trucks, although the company focus has since changed as follows: 

1982 - PATENT: Quadruplex lifting system for fork lift trucks
1984 - Production of a model of off-road fork lift truck with automatic accessory swap (bucket, fork, rear excavation device)
1985 - Production of a smaller, dual traction backhoe loader
1986 - PATENT: backhoe loader with 3-wheel steering, where the steering can be changed while in the stand-by position
1988 - Production of the P80WS, the first backhoe loader with 4-wheel steering and 80 HP
1992 - Production of the first bottom slewing self-erecting crane, with an inverter system
1996 - INTERNATIONAL PATENT: production of the first self-erecting and self-moving crane, with 4 steering-wheel
1997 - GELCO receives European Community funding to produce the CLEVER CRANE, an innovative and high-tech self-erecting crane
1999 - INTERNATIONAL PATENT: production of the first self-erecting crane with three tubular towers, one of which is telescopic
2001 - PATENT: production of the first self-erecting crane with three towers and a jib, divided into three separate parts
2003 - INTERNATIONAL PATENT: production of the first self-erecting crane with telescopic legs

GELCO currently manufactures 12 different models of the self-erecting CLEVER CRANE, with a minimum transportation length of 6.5 metres, a minimum rotation radius of 1.45 metres and a maximum height of 27,70 metres.
